Terms & Conditions

Welcome to NitaCampus ("NitaCampus", "Platform", "We", "Us"). These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Student") and NitaCampus regarding your access to and use of the NitaCampus web application, mobile interfaces, and campus services.

Campus-Only Eligibility: Access to NitaCampus is strictly restricted to current students, faculty members, researchers, staff, and authorized residents of National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala).

• Users must possess a valid college ID, student enrollment number, or verified campus affiliation.
• You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during onboarding registration.
• Creating accounts using fake roll numbers, impersonating other students, or registering on behalf of non-NITA individuals is strictly prohibited.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email login, password, auth tokens) and for all activities occurring under your account.

• Account Security: You agree to notify NitaCampus support immediately at supportnitacampus@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access or security breaches.
• Single Account Rule: Each verified student is permitted to maintain only one active NitaCampus profile. Operating duplicate accounts to exploit promotional codes or evade penalties will result in permanent account termination.

NitaCampus facilitates peer-to-peer campus marketplace trading and intra-campus delivery fulfillment under the following operational terms:

A. Peer-to-Peer Marketplace Rules:

• NitaCampus acts as a venue connecting student buyers and sellers for textbooks, notes, electronics, and hostel items.
• Sellers warrant that listed items are legally owned, accurately described, and free from defects not disclosed in the listing.
• Selling stolen goods, counterfeit items, exam leak materials, prescription drugs, or prohibited substances is grounds for immediate police/institute referral.

B. Intra-Campus Delivery Terms:

• Delivery orders are fulfilled by registered student delivery partners ("Runners") operating inside the NIT Agartala campus.
• Delivery charges (Express ₹39, Standard ₹19, Parcel ₹19) are calculated per order as specified in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
• Delivery timeframes are estimates and subject to campus weather, traffic, and security conditions.

All transactions on NitaCampus are conducted in Indian Rupees (₹ - INR) through authorized PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (Razorpay).

• Payment Obligation: Users agree to pay all applicable fees, delivery charges, and item costs associated with their orders.
• Refund & Cancellation Policy: Order cancellations and refund eligibility are strictly governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which details 100% pre-acceptance refunds, 60% post-acceptance (5 min) refunds, and delivery partner penalties.

Users must maintain high standards of integrity and respect. You explicitly agree NOT to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

Suspended users lose access to marketplace listings, delivery partner earnings, and platform privileges. Serious violations involving fraud or harassment may be reported to the Disciplinary Committee / Dean of Student Affairs at NIT Agartala.

Platform Rights: All software code, UI design systems, logos, graphics, brand names ("NitaCampus", "NitaVerse"), and assets are the exclusive intellectual property of NitaCampus.

User Content License: By uploading study notes, marketplace photos, or notices, you grant NitaCampus a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute the content solely for operating the platform services.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, NitaCampus shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, marketplace buyer/seller disputes, or intra-campus delivery delays.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal disputes or claims arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Agartala, West Tripura.
